About Gilbrea Agriservices
Gilbrea Agriservices, based near Hillsburgh Ontario has been in business since 1991 as a diversified farming operation producing beef, horse hay, straw and cash crops. We also provide custom farming services for other local farms, and in 1999 started a specialty agricultural equipment fabrication and repair shop.
Gilbrea Stables, a horse boarding / dressage training facility became a part of our operation in 1998. From the beginning, our facility manager has soaked hay prior to feeding it to the horses as part of a preventative health program. Soaking hay is an accepted procedure but has typically been done manually -- the process we first used.
The use of hoses and water troughs is time consuming, messy and quite strenuous for stable staff.
We knew there had to be a better way, so we put our heads together and developed the Haydrator.
Since June 2004, our Haydrator has been working in a busy stable environment of up to 28 horses and has very reliably soaked over 25,000 bales.
